 I am already a registered volunteer. How do I login to my profile?

To Login:

  • Access our website at www.azsuperbowl.com
  • Go to the “Volunteers” section and click on the link below “USER LOGIN” (located on the right side of screen).
  • Enter the Username and Password you created upon completing your volunteer application.

  • I am already a registered volunteer but I can’t remember my username/password to login to my profile. How do I retrieve this information?

    To Retrieve Your Username or Password:

  • Access our website at www.azsuperbowl.com
  • Go to the “Volunteers” section and click on the link below “USER LOGIN” (located on the right side of screen).
  • Click on the “Forgot your username?” or “Forgot your password?” link.
  • Enter data in the fields as you entered them upon completing your volunteer application. *If you have a new Driver’s License Number/Home Phone/Email Address, and have not updated it in your profile, remember to enter your old Driver’s License Number/Home Phone/Email Address.
  • Hit the “Submit” button. If you entered the data fields correctly, you will see a message at the top of the webpage stating that “An email has been sent with instructions on how to retrieve your username/password”
  • Check your email account for a message from confirmation@azsuperbowl.com with the subject “azsuperbowl.com username/password request”, and follow the instructions.

  • I am already a registered volunteer. How do I select my Super Bowl assignments?

    1. Access our website at www.azsuperbowl.com.
    2. Go to the Volunteers section and click on the link below
    “USER LOGIN”.
    3. Enter the Username and Password you created upon
    completing your volunteer application.
    4. Take a moment to review the personal information and make
    sure it is all accurate. Make any necessary updates.
    5. Scroll to the bottom and hit the “Submit” button.
    6. Click on one of the 6 Assignment categories which interests
    you.
    7. Select a location, date and shift that you can commit to work
    as a volunteer during Super Bowl week.
    8. Hit the “Submit” button to register your first shift selection
    (the webpage will refresh).
    9. Per the program guidelines, volunteers must work a
    minimum of 2 shifts
    , so repeat steps 6-8 to register your
    second shift selection. You can volunteer for one shift per
    day
    , with no limit as to how many days you work.
    10. Once your shifts are selected (remember to hit the “Submit”
    button each time), your Super Bowl volunteer schedule has
    been created and it will always appear saved in your profile.
    11. Close out of the webpage. As long as you’ve hit the
    “Submit” button, you do not need to formally log off.
    12. Within a few hours, check your email account. You should
    receive a message from confirmation@azsuperbowl.com with
    a copy of your schedule.

    How can I volunteer for Super Bowl XLII?

    The Host Committee estimates that it will need 10,000 volunteers to serve in various capacities. These volunteers will be needed in many areas (hospitality, transportation, special events, etc.)

    Will I have a better chance at becoming a volunteer if I sign up sooner than someone else?

    Yes. We expect the volunteer positions to fill very quickly. Please sign up as soon as possible to ensure your spot as a Super Bowl XLII Volunteer.

    Do I have to fill out a volunteer application?

    All volunteers must complete the official Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee volunteer application. An online application is available at here.


    How many volunteers are needed?

    The Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee is obligated to the National Football League (NFL) to recruit, train and schedule 10,000 volunteers for all Super Bowl-related activities.


    What type of volunteer opportunities are there?

    Spike's Super Crew Volunteers will assist with the following activities:

    NFL Experience

    Volunteers will assist with the management and supervision of interactive football games and displays. Also included in this family-oriented theme park are autograph signings, player and coach radio interviews, entertainment and food.

    Airport Information Desk

    Volunteers will provide an enthusiastic welcome to guests via friendly smiles and helpful question-answering at the various airports. They will communicate game and event transportation, as well as answer hospitality information to visitors and distribute Host Committee publications.

    Hotel Information Desk

    Volunteers will provide an enthusiastic welcome to guests via friendly smiles and helpful question-answering at the various NFL hotels. They will also communicate game and event transportation as well as answering hospitality information to visitors and distribute Host Committee publications.

    Transportation Guide

    Volunteers will greet members of the media at hotels and direct them to appropriate Media Center shuttles. Volunteers will check credentials as the media board busses and will ride the shuttles to assist with directions or answer questions.

    Volunteer Command Center

    Volunteers will respond to questions received on the volunteer hotline, call volunteers regarding their shifts, perform data entry and distribute volunteer materials.

    NFL and Host Committee Special Events

    Volunteers will provide an enthusiastic welcome to guests attending special events, check credentials, give guest direction and assist with event operations, as needed.


    Is there an age requirement?

    All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age by November 2007. A valid driver’s license may be used as proof of age. Volunteers must agree to background check required by the NFL. Volunteer opportunities will be provided on an equal basis without regard to age, sex, race, religion or disability.


    How many shifts do I have to work?

    Volunteer must be available to work a minimum of two 4-hour shifts.


    What type of training is provided to a volunteer?

    All volunteers will be required to attend at least one information session and at least one training session pertaining to the event(s) they are assigned to. The information and training sessions will take place in the evenings and/or on weekends. Additionally, all volunteers are required to attend the general volunteer orientation in January 2008.


    What if a volunteer cannot attend his/her assigned event?

    Volunteers will be given a schedule indicating where and when they are to report to their assignments. It is important that volunteers keep their assignments, but if a volunteer must cancel due to illness or family, please contact the Super Bowl Host Committee Volunteer Command Center. A Command Center has been established to help coordinate schedules and serve as a clearinghouse in filling vacated slots at various venues.


    What if a volunteer does not have a way to get to his/her assignment?

    All volunteers are required to have reliable transportation.


    If I volunteer, is there an opportunity that I will get Super Bowl XLII tickets?

    There are NO Super Bowl tickets available to volunteers. As a result, volunteers will have the opportunity to experience the Super Bowl through events prior to and during the game.


    Can I volunteer to work inside the stadium during Super Bowl XLII?

    No volunteers will be placed inside University of Phoenix Stadium on game day.


    How does a person without a computer apply to be a volunteer?

    Contact the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee for more information on where hard copies of the application are available.  The Host Committee will mail your volunteer materials (schedule and training information) to you.


    I don’t have an email address, what do I do?

    You can create a free email account at Yahoo.com Hotmail.com, or numerous other websites.


    Do I have to pay for a volunteer uniform?

    No.  Volunteers will receive complimentary Host Committee uniforms.


    Where will volunteers park?

    The Host Committee will provide complimentary parking for all volunteers. Each volunteer assignment will have specific parking location. Parking information will be provided during the volunteer information and training sessions.


    Will food and beverages be provided for volunteers?

    Volunteers will receive snacks and beverages at specific volunteer assignments. Volunteers working more than 6 hours will receive a light meal and beverages.


    Can family members and friends join me on my shift?

    No family members or friends are allowed while volunteers are on duty, unless they are scheduled to work at the same time.


    Is a background check required to be a volunteer?

    A background check is required for various NFL venues, i.e. NFL Experience. Your social security number, birth city, birth place, and driver’s license number are required for the background check.
