AZ Super Bowl Name the Cactus Sweepstakes
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR CLAIM PRIZE. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. ENTRANTS MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO WIN. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. THIS SWEEPSTAKES MAY NOT BE USED TO CONDUCT, ADVERTISE, OR PROMOTE ANY FORM OF GAMBLING.
The Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee (“Committee” or the “Sponsor”) is pleased to introduce the AZ Super Bowl Name the Cactus Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”). As a condition of participating in the Sweepstakes, you agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these official rules (“Official Rules”) and the decisions of the Committee, whose decisions shall be final and binding in all respects, and to waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Sweepstakes, these Official Rules, or any materials, websites or advertising associated with the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes is subject to applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations and is VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. Winning and receiving a Prize (as defined in Section 7) is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
You agree and acknowledge, as condition of participating in the Sweepstakes, that Instagram, LLC, TikTok, Inc. and Twitter Inc. and their owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, representatives, parents, subsidiaries, attorneys, insurers, and associated corporations and entities (collectively, the “Social Media Platforms”) are not sponsors of the Sweepstakes nor do they endorse or administer the Sweepstakes, nor are they in any way associated with the Sweepstakes. All questions regarding the Sweepstakes must be directed to Sponsor, not the Social Media Platforms. You also agree that as a condition of participating in the Sweepstakes, you shall release the Social Media Platforms from any and all liability arising out of or relating to your entry, creation of an entry or submission of an entry, participation in the Sweepstakes, acceptance, use, or misuse of a Prize, or the broadcast, exploitation, or use of an entry.
The Sweepstakes begins at 7:00 AM Mountain Standard Time (“MT”) on January 26, 2023 and ends at 11:59 PM MT on Feb. 3, 2023 (“Sweepstakes Period”). Sponsor’s clock shall be the official clock for purposes of the Sweepstakes.
In order to be eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes, you must: (i) be a legal resident of the state of Arizona who is 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry, (ii) not be a person barred from participation in the Sweepstakes; and (iii) at all times abide by these Official Rules. Any individuals (including but not limited to employees, consultants, independent contractors, and interns) who have, within the past six months, performed services for the Committee, or the National Football League (“NFL”), or any organization responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, or administering the Sweepstakes, or supplying the prize, or who won any sweepstakes or prize sponsored by Committee, or any of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, or successor companies, and immediate family and household members thereof, are not eligible to enter. “Immediate family members” means parents, stepparents, children, stepchildren, siblings, stepsiblings, or spouses. “Household members” shall mean people who share the same residence at least three (3) months in the preceding one (1) calendar year.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER. During the Sweepstakes Period, eligible users may enter the Sweepstakes (as defined in Section 5) via four (4) different methods of entry, each of which are described below, during the Sweepstakes Period.
Eligible users may enter the Sweepstakes via Instagram during the Sweepstakes Period by following these steps:

Eligible users may enter the Sweepstakes via Twitter during the Sweepstakes Period by following these steps:
In order to participate, you must be a registered user on www.Twitter.com. To become a registered user, visit www.Twitter.com and complete the onscreen instructions to sign up for an account.
Eligible users may enter the Sweepstakes via TikTok during the Sweepstakes Period by following these steps:
Registration with TikTok is required to enter into the Sweepstakes. If you do not have a TikTok account, visit www. TikTok.com or download the free Instagram app on your iOS or Android device from the App Store or Google Play, as applicable based upon your device, and create a free account as instructed.
During the Sweepstakes Period, eligible users may also enter the Sweepstakes without having to submit an entry via a Social Media Platform by going to Committee’s website, www.azsuperbowl.com/NameTheCactus, accessing and accurately completing the required information on the online entry form (“Online Entry Form”) for the Sweepstakes and successfully submitting the completed Online Entry Form as directed by the Committee.
Entrants must fully complete and submit all non-optional data requested on the Online Entry Form to be eligible. Incomplete and/or inaccurate entries are void. All entries via the Online Entry Form must include a valid e-mail address for the entrant. Entrants to any Sweepstakes via the Online Entry Form may be given the option to receive commercial e-mails from Committee; however, eligibility to participate in any Sweepstakes is not dependent upon entrant’s consent to receive such e-mails and updates and consenting to receive such e-mails and updates will not impact any entrant’s chances of winning.
No other method of entry will be accepted than the four (4) entry methods set forth herein. Using an automated system to participate in the Sweepstakes or attempting to subvert the Sweepstakes entry process is prohibited and may result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute over who submitted a winning entry, the Authorized Account Holder for the Social Media Platform (or email address in case of an Online Entry Form submission) associated with the entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The Authorized Account Holder is defined as the natural person that has established the corresponding account with the respective Social Media Platform/email provider.
If you are required to post on your Social Media Platform account to enter, make sure the “Private Account” setting is turned off, or the Committee won’t be able to see your entry and you won’t be able to participate in the Sweepstakes. By making this change to your account setting, you understand that all of your future posts on such Social Media Platform will be visible to the public. You agree to comply with all Social Media Platform terms and conditions. All comments must comply with the terms and conditions of the applicable Social Media Platform. As a condition of participating in the Sweepstakes, you acknowledge and agree that Sponsor reserves the right to delete your comment and void your entry if it contains any of the following content, as determined by Sponsor at its sole discretion:
Failure to follow any instructions provided by the Committee or failure to submit your entry within the applicable Sweepstakes Period may result in disqualification. The time of receipt of any entry shall be the time such valid entry becomes available to Committee. The use of script, macro, other automated means or any other device to subvert the registration process is prohibited and all such registrations will be void. The Committee is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, computer, online or human error, technical malfunctions, any omission, interruption, defect, or any other error, including, without limitation, lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected entries, all of which may constitute grounds for disqualification in the Committee’s sole discretion. If a problem occurs in the entry process, the entrant is solely responsible for verifying that the entry process has been validly completed. The Committee shall have no obligation to advise an entrant of an incomplete, late or undeliverable entry. All entries become the sole and exclusive property of the Committee and will not be acknowledged or returned. Entrant is responsible for all online charges incurred with any Internet service provider and/or wireless carrier.
There will one (1) potential winner selected in this Sweepstakes (“Potential Winner”). The Potential Winner will be selected by Committee’s marketing and communications team on or about Monday, Feb. 6, 2023, from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period (“The Selection”). The winning name will be selected based on originality and be representative of the spirit of the Arizona Super Bowl.
Sponsor will have complete discretion over interpretation of the Official Rules, the administration of the Sweepstakes, and the selection of the Potential Winner. Decisions of Sponsor as to the selection of the Potential Winner and the determination of the winner will be final.
The Committee will attempt to notify Potential Winner by corresponding Social Media Platform/telephone/email on the Selection date. Inability of the Committee to contact a Potential Winner within 24 hours of the Selection may result in the Prize being forfeited and an alternate Potential Winner may be selected via another Selection at the Committee’s discretion.
The Committee will also deliver via email to the Potential Winner an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and a Publicity Release (“Release”) to be executed and returned via email (or by facsimile) within 48 hours after receipt of the Committee’s email. The Release (i) indemnifies and holds harmless the Committee and any Released Parties (as defined in Section 9) from and against any and all harm, expense, loss, damage, liability, or injury resulting directly or indirectly from submitting an entry in the Sweepstakes or awarding, receipt, possession, use, or misuse of any Prize awarded in the Sweepstakes, (ii) contains the Potential Winner’s agreement to be bound by the Sweepstake’s Official Rules, and (iii) authorizes the Committee to use the Potential Winner’s names, likenesses, photographs, voices, and biographical data for advertising, promotional, and any other purpose, in any media.
If a Potential Winner does not meet Official Rules or eligibility requirements, fails to complete, sign and return the applicable Release within the required time period, or if the Release is returned as undeliverable or incomplete, the Potential Winner may be disqualified at the Committee’s sole discretion. In the event a Potential Winner is disqualified for any reason or if the Prize is unclaimed, the Prize will be forfeited. Any forfeited Prize may be awarded to an alternate winner, at the Committee’s discretion. Limit one Prize per person and per household.
ALL POTENTIAL WINNERS ARE SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY SPONSOR. SPONSOR’S DECISIONS AS TO THE ADMINISTRATION AND OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES, ANY CHANGES TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES, AND THE SELECTION OF POTENTIAL WINNERS IS FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE SWEEPSTAKES.
Subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules, one (1) prize pack (“Prize”) will be awarded by Committee’s judges panel. The Prize and its approximate retail value (“ARV”) is as follows:
The total combined ARV of $200 for Prize is an estimate made before the Sweepstakes begins and may vary. If the actual retail value of the Prize is less than or greater than the stated ARV, the Prize winner will not receive the difference.
Prize will need to be picked up at the Committee offices in Downtown Phoenix. No transfer, substitution or cash equivalent for a Prize will be made, except that the Committee, at its sole discretion, may substitute a Prize (or component of a Prize) of equal or greater value in the event the above Prizes are unavailable for any reason. Any depiction of the Prize, in Sweepstakes materials or otherwise, is for illustrative purposes only. ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PRIZE WINNERS. Any required tax reporting forms will be furnished to the appropriate tax authorities.
THE PRIZES ARE AWARDED AS IS AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. SOME JURISDICTIONS MAY NOT ALLOW (OR MAY LIMIT) DISCLAIMERS OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, IN WHICH CASE THE FOREGOING DISCLAIMERS WILL BE ENFORCED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Committee is not responsible or liable for: lost, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled, late, delayed, undelivered, or misdirected information or registrations, User ID’s, or submissions; theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, submissions or registrations; failures or malfunctions of connections, cable, fiber-optics, network, satellite, Internet Service Provider (ISP), phones, phone-lines, or telephone systems; interrupted or unavailable network, server, or other connections; any error, omission, interruption, defect, or delay in any transmission or communication; traffic congestion on the Internet or for any technical problem, including but not limited to any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes; typographical, printing, or other errors in these Official Rules, in any Sweepstakes-related advertisements or other materials; the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of entries, selections, or registrations; the selection or announcement of Potential Winners or the distribution of prizes; the cancellation, suspension, or postponement of the 2022 NFL Season; scoring, tabulation, or timing errors; or other problems or errors of any kind whether mechanical, human, electronic, typographical, printing, or otherwise. By submitting an entry into the Sweepstakes, each participant agrees that: (i) Committee, NFL, and their respective designees may use (unless prohibited by law) participant’s name, city, and state of residence, photograph and/or likeness for advertising, promotional, trade and/or any other purposes in any media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without further compensation, permission or notification; (ii) Committee reserves the right to conduct a background check on winner and entry in the Sweepstakes constitutes participant’s permission for Committee to conduct such background check, provided that, to the extent additional authorization is necessary under law, participant shall authorize such check; (iii) Committee reserves the right (at its sole discretion) to disqualify any participant based on the results of the background check or failure of the participant to properly authorize such check.
As a condition of participating in the Sweepstakes, you agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless the Committee and its respective affiliates, the Social Media Platforms, Prize suppliers, and the Committee’s business partners and all their affiliates, and each of their respective agents, representatives, officers, managers, directors, members, shareholders and employees (the “Released Parties”) from and against any injuries, losses, damages, claims, actions and any liability of any kind resulting from or arising from any breach of representation made by you in connection with the Sweepstakes, the exercise by the Committee or its designees of any of the rights granted by you in these Official Rules and your participation in the Sweepstakes, including acceptance, possession, use, misuse or nonuse of the Prize.
As a condition of participating in the Sweepstakes, you agree that as to the Committee and the Released Parties (i) under no circumstances will you be permitted to obtain awards for, and you hereby waive all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential, or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, (ii) all causes of action arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes, or any Prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and (iii) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but shall in no event include attorneys’ fees. the Committee reserves the right to modify Prize award procedures.
The Committee, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to: (i) disqualify any person who tampers with the submission process, the operation of Committee’s Social Media Platforms or websites, or any other component of this Sweepstakes, or who is otherwise in violation of these Official Rules; and (ii) modify, suspend or terminate this Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof) for any reason, including should a virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, or other causes, including but not limited to war, strikes, and/or acts of God, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of this Sweepstakes and, in the event of termination, at its discretion, award Prizes as it deems proper.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, CLUB RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
COMMITTEE’S DECISIONS AND INTERPRETATIONS ON ALL MATTERS RELATING TO THE SWEEPSTAKES AND THESE OFFICIAL RULES ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL RESPECTS.
By registering in the Sweepstakes, participants hereby agree to Committee’s collection and usage of their personal information and acknowledge that they have read and accepted Committee’s privacy policy. The winner by acceptance of prize, except where legally prohibited, grants permission for Committee and its designees to use his/her name, address (city and state), photograph, voice, and/or other likeness and prize information for advertising, trade, and promotional purposes without further compensation, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide, in perpetuity, without notice or review or approval.
YOU FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOUR PERSONAL IDENTIFYING INFORMATION MAY BE DISCLOSED TO THIRD PARTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, PLACING YOUR NAME ON A WINNERS’ LIST
Any valuation of the Prize stated above is based on available information provided to Committee, and the value of any Prize awarded to a winner may be reported for tax purposes as required by law.
Winner is solely responsible for reporting and paying any and all applicable taxes. Winner must provide Committee with valid identification and a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number before any Prize will be awarded. Any person winning over $600.00 USD in prizes from Committee will receive an IRS form 1099 at the end of the calendar year and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS.
Participant agrees that: (i) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prizes awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, by a state or federal court of competent jurisdiction located in Tempe, Arizona; (ii) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (iii) under no circumstances will participant be permitted to obtain awards for and participant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the participant and Committee in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Arizona, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Arizona or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Arizona.
